I started my training at Tonfanau North Wales afterwards I was posted
to 27 H.A.A.Regt R.A.Hong Kong spent 1 year and a bit in Stanley Fort
and volunteered to stay back to dismantle the fixed 3.7 Guns at Brickhill
in order to be packed and sent back to blighty, in august 1957 I was
sent home on the SS Oxfordshire and posted to 57 H.A.A.Regt R.A Orsett
Camp Grays Essex then the regiment moved over to milton Barracks Gravesend
Kent where I was finely discharged after serving 3 years as a regular.
When I got home to Aberdeen I enlisted into the R.A. Territorials serving
another year and another 3 years reserve. there are 40 bods from the
27 H.A.A Hong Kong Gunners who meet up every year for our reunion and
we are always on the look out for anyone from the regt serving the
periods 1949 - 1957 to contact my E.Mail BILL
